I just booked AKL-C for 5 night from Oct. 16-21st.
What does standard club level mean?
What views are possible? Should we request a specific view/bed type?
Are bunkbeds available in this room type?
Will they contact us and when?
What services can they provide?
Do you think the main building construction will be complete by then?

Thanks for all advice.

We are checking in in a couple of weeks. No one has ever contacted me (for any of my Concierge stays.) I contact them as soon as my plans are made.

Their email: WDW.AKLodge.Concierge@disney.com

Phone 407-938-4755

All views are Savannah, no more pool. I don't know about bunk beds. You should call or email them with your specific requests.

Standard means the rooms sleeps 4, deluxe (of which there are no more) means the room sleeps 5.

I can try to answer some of your questions based on my experiences. We are heading down in 42 days!!!! We also will be staying at AKL, concierge (club) level. :cloud9: Having never stayed there, or anywhere on-site, I can only answer with what I have myself been told.

All concierge rooms are now standard. They did away with the deluxe rooms by renovating them into DVC units. I believe all the rooms are now Savannah view for CL. Yes, bunkbeds are available, just really hard to get. I keep reminding Don, my AKL CL connection, that I would REALLY REALLY like bunks. He can't promise me anything. I would suggest that you contact the IPO as soon as possible. When I booked my trip, they gave me the e-mail address of the IPO, and I dashed off a quick note. That was at about 200 days. You are obviously much closer, and may need to make some of your ADRs ASAP. Also, I believe the construction on the main Lodge should be almost done by then. The construction on the DVC units is slated to continue into 2009. I know they are not currently moving guests out of AKL after 9-1-07, so you should definitely be safe.

Hope this helped. If you have any other questions, I may of some assistance. But remember, I am only repeating what I have been told. I can tell you more when I get home on 9-22!

Have a good and awesome trip!

Oh yea, forgot about what services they can offer. The answer is, just about anything you ask them to do. I currently have them purchasing some stuffed animals for my nieces that will be left on their beds each night. I am also sending gift bags down for the girls and my DH, which will be given to them at check-in. They have assisted me by making all of my ADRs, and booking some recreations activities and such. No phone calls for me, just e-mailed my requests to them, and they got all my ADRs, including CRT! YEA! They are awesome. I suggest just asking them if they can do something, I'm willing to bet the answer will be yes!

Thank for all the information.

I guess I will email them with my requests and have them try to make some ADR's for me.

I think we will be okay getting ADRs as we don't want Le Cellier or CRT this trip. We are only there 5 nights and one night we want to walk aroud world showcase and eat different food from the the F &W fest.

I want to eat at Jiko's and Boma 2 other nights.

I love the idea of having a stuffed animal each night for my DD.
Thanks again.
