Akershus for Breakfast or Dinner?

We want a princess meal in Epcot (already done CRT and no one is interested in doing it again this trip) so I looked at the menus and now need help. The menu for breakfast seems really sparse and a lot of $$ for what you get. The lunch menu did not look interesting, however I think there are some things on the dinner menu that looked good. Any opinions?

Up until now, I've recommended breakfast for anyone hesitant about the menu at Akershus. DH and I had breakfast there, and it was great, there was plenty to eat, the princesses were "princessy", the restaurant was lovely. The lunch and dinner menu didn't appeal to me -- don't really care for a lot of the Norwegian ingredients and flavors: beets, lingonberry, venison, cod, rutabaga, cabbage, etc. Breakfast is also less expensive if you are paying OOP; wouldn't make a difference if you are on the DDP, though.

However, I just saw an updated dinner menu, and now there are quite a few things that sound pretty good...wish I had an ADR there for our September trip! Ah well, maybe next time.

Thanks Katiebell - that is exactly what I am thinking. At first it was a "no-brainer" to do breakfast. After looking at the updated menu for dinner I'm rethinking it.

We really love Akershus for dinner, we have done it on our last 3 trips. My DW and I are meat and potatoes people from the Midwest and have found all the food to be excellent for dinner. My DW especially likes the Traditional Kjottkake.

Keep in mind that this is actually an all you can eat (at least it was in Feb) so you can order more than one entree if the first really doesn't suit you.

I would say it depends on how picky of eaters your group is. DH and I did lunch last year because he is an adventurous eater (I will try certain things) and he wanted to try it. We are glad we tried it but we wouldn't go back. We really didn't care for our lunch meals at all.
