Has anyone been to WDW recently to see what changes have occurred at Akerhus? I heard in was undergoing renovation in September, and something about the buffet coming back .
I've never been there, but had heard that it was good, then the princesses came on board and it went downhill. Wondering if it has improved since Sep, and is worth eating at

I haven't eaten there yet but I think that breakfast, lunch, and dinner are now with the Princesses. That might change whether or not you want to go.

The Phases of Restaurant Akershus

1. Lunch and Dinner only. Kaltbort Buffet in front with hot foods on buffet on the side. Desserts and Alocoholic beverages extra.

2. Same as 1 except they took the hot foods off the buffet and had you order them from a waiter or waitress.

3. Same as 2, but they added Princess Storybook Breakfast as a meal.

4. Similar to 3, but they extended the breakfast last seating until 11:30, did away with lunch and had dinner starting at 4:00.

5. Went back to three meals. Pincesses at all meals. Eliminated buffet. Had waiter bring a plate of appetizers and then hot foods. (Refills available on everything.) Added dessert as part of the meal.

6. (Current) Changed name ot Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Brought back the cold buffet, but as a single line instead of two lines from the center. Still have waiters bringing hot foods and desserts. Still have Princesses.
