Is this an EMH morning or regular opening time? I would definitely not do an 8:00 am breakfast on EMH morning.

We have a habit of doing the Safari first thing and then FP other things. If you go straight there you get on pretty quickly.

That being said though, I would go to the safari 1st thing, so option 2. We've ridden during many times of the day and first thing in the morning has always been the best experience for us.

Are you planning on doing any of the bigger rides? or the meet and greet with Mickey & Minnie? If you are planning on doing Everest or Dinosaur or Mickey m & g then I would do you second option but bypass the FP for FOTL and just line up at the show about 15-20 minutes prior to the show. If you aren't planning on doing the bigger rides then I still like the second option. The safari is right by Tusker House so super easy to get there after breakfast without having to use a FP

We are going with little ones, so my 3 FP are for the safari, FOLK & Mickey/Minnie m & g

Safari first. Animals are most active before it gets too hot. We do all animal attractions first thing in the morning, then the shows for a break and then the rest of the park.

We have a similar plan to you. We are doing an 8am Tusker House and then heading straight to the Safari. Saving fastpasses for later in the day.

I'd definitely go with Option 2 and try to figure out another option for that third fastpass.

Doing Safari first thing was our idea too but we did not anticipated that safari would be down. We were there last Friday and Safari was down for almost 2 hours. Because we thought we'll be on Safari first thing we did not get fast pass. BIG MISTAKE! By the time safari came back on, all the FP was gone and we were in line for almost 2 hours. Because they were behind on FP, they let all the FP go in first (which was nonstop). We should have gotten FP and by chance if we did get on the safari first thing, we could have change Safari FP to something else.

Last Friday was doom day for us at AK. We had FP to Dinosaur and that also went down and we were not able to ride. We did get to see Lion King show, Nemo show, ride the Mt. Everest Roller Coaster twice, and Flights of Wonder was open.

I agree with your option 2 decision and I would add that you should not fastpass the safari at rope drop and instead fast pass the Neimo show later. :)
