AK to AKL, can't walk? Where to park?

We're planning to have diner at Jiko, AKL after attending extra magic hours at AK (I'm figuring 8pm res, does that sound right? anyone ever been to EMH at AK, when does it end?) Anyway, we would drive from Poly for afternoon/evening at AK then go to dinner res, but I read somewhere there's no walking trail or tram between the AKL and AK, do we have to drive over to AKL? I can't seem to find a very good map of the area online to get the relative distance between AKL and entrance to AK.

we have a ps for "Boma"@ AKL for Breakfast, and honestly, we were thinking of just leaving the car there ( if possible ), and taking the bus over to AK, or, just driving over after breakfast.

BTW: Jiko`s great!, had Dinner there last trip! Enjoy!

I believe EMH ends at 8pm. Be sure to leave yourself enough time to get to your car in the AK parking lot. (We tend to walk a lot slower at the end of the day than we did upon first arriving at the park in the morning.) AKL is a quick 5-minute drive from AK. If you are staying on-site, show your parking pass to the guard and you'll have no problems parking at AKL. You have the option of valet or self-parking. You will love Jiko!

I would park at the AKL in the morning then take the bus to AK for the day. When you're ready to leave, take the bus back to AKL. The bus from AKL to AK is direct and runs back and forth every 10 minutes. The AKL-AK bus service is excellent and very quick!

If you'd prefer to park at AK then drive to AKL it'll only take a few minutes to drive get there providing that traffic is not heavy with everyone leaving all at once. Either way it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks all for the info, and the reviews on Jiko's. I'm psyched! We'll be on the dining plan but my dtd's (10yrs) will probably be happy with the kids menu so we'll "borrow"their TScredits and just pay for their dinners. Does anyone know is there any "big finish" to the EMH? Maybe we'll just head out a little earlier than the 8pm close and drive from AK to AKL. I would park at AKL but we probably won't arrive til mid afternoon and figured it would be easier to get parking close to the entrance so late in the day???
