as usual,,,,i am confused again.According to the guidebooks,,this park can get uber-crowded very fast,,,,,(i hate big crowds and we are going in JUNE,,,am i crazy or what/lol)...anyway,,please help with yer tips here if u have done AK on a crowded day...also what are the MUST SEES?what are the STAY AWAY FROM THATS/?..hehehhe...we will be there at the very beginning of JUNE...DH and I....also..reccs on what to eat please,,we were thinking about TUSKER HOUSE,,,,thanks!!!!!!!

Tusker house is great!

The best thing to do is go early in the morning and get as much done as you can before it gets crowded and hot. AK is the hottest park.

The must sees for us are of course, the Lion King show! That is the best. Then the Safari ride (do this first before it gets crowded), the Dinosaur ride, the Primevil Whirl ride, and the Rapids ride.

You can get quite a bit done in half a day there if you are there at the opening.

Have fun planning!

edited to add...that some people love It's Tough to be a Bug but we didn't like it, I went with my 8 year old DD and she hated it. Too scary. But others love it. It's got 3-D bugs so you can decide. It's not great for little ones who do not like loud noises and darkness.

You definately want to go early in the morning. As soon as it opens. One of the CM had told my DH & I that it is always a little more hot and humid there because of all of the trees/plants...I don't know. We also went in June one year and it is definately hot :sunny:

As far as a must see...you have got to see It's Tough To Be A Bug. It is sooo funny!!! :rotfl2: It is located in the tree in the middle of the park. It is one of the funniest 3D shows I have seen there.

thanks,,anyone have a strategy for facing AK?If no..i will just use my trusty UNNOFFICIAL GUIDE's plan......oNE THING about the LION KING SHOW,,,,,please please dont flame me,,BUT DH and i ussually dont like most 'shows" at the parks....I like the 3d movie, rides,,etc,,but a lot of the shows are just too corny for me..NO also keep in mind ai have not seen a single show at WDW yet.....so they may be different,From what I have read about LION KING is is that is realllllyyyy good and we should think about seeing it,,,,thanks,,any other ideas?

Like I said, go early and get Safari over with first thing before it gets crowded. Check on the times for Lion King so you have an idea of when you can fit it in. Then run for a Fastpass for another ride you are interested in like Dinasour or Primevil Whirl. While you are waiting for that Fastpass, do another ride or show. Then go get another Fastpass if necessary and go from there.

You may think shows are corny but Disney has some AMAZING shows and the Lion King is one of them.

Have fun planning.

My husband and I LOVED Festival of the Lion King. In general we are not ones to go see a show either. ( well I would but not him) He LOVED it!!!
The colors alone were wonderful.

Like others have said. Get to AK early... right when they open. Go straight to the safari ride since that can get long. We tend to not skip around the park a lot . We do each area and then move on to the next. We did not have any problems seeing and doing what we wanted when we went in Nov and we did it in a 1/2 day.

We really liked It's tough to be a bug also. My husband's favorite 3D.

Last time we ate at Flame tree and LOVED it!! So yummy. This time we are trying Tusker house. We have lots of good things about it.
