SS Medicare 1099 questions

I got a 1099 statement from SS the has the medicare information on it also quite some time ago in the mail. My DH didnt get anything yet.
Which I thought it rather strange.
I looked over our tax papers from last year and it looks like he printed his from the website.
But it looks like now you have to set up a new account with I think its called log inor something simaler

He tried to set up a new account but couldnt get through it-
It did say on the website that most taxpayers statements went out on 2/1 yet like I said I got mine some time ago

this is the last paperwork we need to have our accountant do our taxes
with the shutdown that just started any ideas on how we can get this paper-

Yes SSA.gov now requires you to link your existing account to either login.gov or id.me as a more secure access. It was fairly easy for me to do this for my DH. Your options are to create the extra log-in step or wait for the paper 1099 to arrive in the mail.

Oh so DH will still get his in the mail
Like I mentioned I got mine quite some time ago and from last years paper it looks like he printed from the website

He should, unless he has opted in for only digital. Even then I think they mail the 1099 to everyone receiving SSA retirement payments.

Those logins also work on the IRS website and other federal government sites. So it's a good idea to create an account so you can view important personal information on various sites—forms, whether the IRS has received your payments, etc.
