AK nightime entertainment mystery

Pete hit on something i have been thinking for awhile....what in the holy hell is going on with the nighttime activities at AK....its almost as if they decided to do this before they had any idea what it is they would actually do. The Rivers of Light thing is strange as hell. there is still know definitive reason for the brakes being put on this, with no real time frame in the future.....the replacing it with a ridiculous thrown together sprinkler heavy dance show?....then this announcement about ending nighttime activities, with no real definitions as to why, and what the future holds....its one of the more un-disney things i have seen in quite some time

Did you hear anything about an "announcement about ending nighttime activities"? Only thing I have seen is people speculating/inferring from future earlier close park times and the Jungle Book show ending in September .... but Disney has been late in adjusting AK hours so I suspect they will be moved later in the future

And as far as I know all the evening entertainment (other than Jungle Book) is still scheduled to continue. This whole things feels like one entity speculating based on a piece of information (that likely will change) and others running with it, and to be honest, a overraction but a lot of people ... until they announce something official or a day goes by with a 5pm park close, I don't fully buy it

Fully agree that Rivers of Light has been a bit of a disaster but they couldn't get some of the effects to work right (I think around the floats moving automatically on their own) as it was new technology and I think marketing pushed the opening date before the show was 100% cleared

Nighttime activities aren't going anywhere.

Rivers of light has brand new tech that didn't work. They announced an opening date for it before it was ready. That will not happen again. Rivers of light is still going to open this year.

There has been no ending announcement except for jungle book.
