AK morning EMH

I booked a last minute trip for my daughter and I for March and was unable to secure a FP+ for FOP. We are going to take advantage of the EMH for AK during our stay. What time should we arrive at the park for an 8 am opening, with our main objective being FOP? We are staying onsite with a car and will have hopper passes.

Agreed. We've done early mornings at AK, and it takes a little bit longer than you might expect to get through the parking booths, into a space, and to the entry. If you want to do FOP without a really long wait, I agree with 6:30/7AM.

If you are staying on-site, make sure that once you're through the tapstiles, head to the left side. That is where they will be checking on-site guests benefitting from EMH. I was near the front of the pack but didn't know this and couldn't hear the announcements from the castmembers very well. So by the time it took me to process which way to go, it put me too far behind the crowd. Luckily I did have a FP later in the day for FOP so just did a walk on to NRJ instead.

If you can get near the front of the pack on a left side tapstile you should be good to go.

Everyone is going to hit either FOP or (if open) KJS. Everything else will likely be marked up to 10 minutes but likely not that long (show runtimes not withstanding).

Only real issue you might face is if everest is closed during that EMH. It was for me but I had an FP for it and was open by that time.

I was there for EMH on Feb 24 at 7:30. Some crowds already for FoP. We were let into the park not long after, maybe 7:35. Mad stampede to Pandora (which we basically avoided with a FoP fastpass). Navi River was a walk-on. Next we walked at a leisurely pace to Everest, around 8:15, also a walk-on. We immediately rode Everest again around 8:30, a tiny wait had developed, maybe a few minutes? Headed to Dinosaur next where the wait was around 10-15 because of some down time (also only one side seemed operational). Finished all 4 rides around 9:15 being very slow with my daughter and mom, and stopping to take numerous pictures!

If you are there by 6:45 and speedwalk directly you FoP, you’ll be fine!

From our past experience you can ride it 2 (maybe 3) times pretty much walk on.

We rope dropped FOP this past Saturday during EMH. We walked in the gates at 8am, so not as early as we wanted. When we got to the line, it started in pandora but then wrapped all the way to the lion king down along the river. However, the line never stoped moving so it didn’t seem bad at all. We went through the entire queue, which we enjoyed because all of our other rides were FP. And I think they Must have opened parts of it while we were in line. Our wait was less than an hour.
