We have reservations for 2 bedroom savanna view in animal kingdon Kidni my questions is should I request near lobby or elevators, I will be traveling with Son, Daughter in law, 2 children ages 7 and 10, my husband who has copd and had lung cancer in 2020 but thankfully they removed a portion on lung and didn't need any treatment as it was caught early, all his scans every 3 months are fine.

Any help will be appreciated.

2BRs, both dedicated and lock-off are located throughout the building. Request Sunset Savanna view (80% of all savanna view rooms at Kidani, and thus it is a request very often met) and either "close to the Timon elevator" if you want quick trip to bus station and not be overly far from lobby and pool, or "close to Rafiki elevator" if you want shortest trip to pool and not be overly far from lobby and bus station. Note that you should make any such requests through MS and not via the online check-in page that allows requests, which page you should ignore. The requests you can make on that page are limited and checking any of them results in the loss of requests made through MS.

Sunset is the better savanna (largest on site and has giraffes and zebras), while Pembe, the other savanna at Kidani, is much smaller and has no giraffes or zebras.

Do not request merely "close to the elevator." There are three sets of elevators along each of the two wings, and you should name the elevator you want to be near because a generic "near elevator" request can actually be satisfied by placing you in any room in the building.

The building is extremely long (about 2/3 mile from end to end) and walking distances from room to pool, lobby, and bus station can be huge. Because of that, huge numbers now request "near the lobby." If you get it that is fine, but now significant probability of not getting that request because of the excess number of guests that make it. And if the resort cannot meet a location request, they just place you in any available room, often one very far from the lobby. Requests I mentioned above give you better chance of being within striking distance of lobby.
