AK hours extended

I looked through the available Park Hours from now until June and AK closes at 6pm. They used to have AK open until 8pm in the summer.
We'll be there in Mid June and I would like to make a reservation for Yak & Yeti and then get in line for FOP before park close. Think AK will continue to close at 6pm or any chance it will be open a little later?

Park hours are normally adjusted approx. 3 weeks in advance but can also change right up to and including the actual date. There is no way to know what will happen in June but possibly looking at historical dates might offer insight as to what could happen.

AK rarely stays open until 8:00 any more. You might get 7:00, but 8:00 is doubtful. The hours are more likely to be extended Fri-Sun.

AK is open this Friday 17 April until 8pm. I don’t know when they changed the hours. I noticed it about a week ango. Originally closing was 6pm and I planned my day staring at AK then hopping. But with the change to 8 I flipped it to end the day at AK instead. So it does still happen, but unfortunately you won’t know until just before.

When it happens, it is typically on the weekends.

Like this upcoming weekend has 7pm Thurs and Sun, and 8pm on fri and Sat. Midweek is 6pm.

I’m kind of surprised they did not extend Wed 22nd though, since it is Earth Day and AK anniversary. It’s probably not increasing crowds enough to warrant it.
