I booked our plane tickets this week flying from CMH to MCO via Southwest and returning via AirTran. I admit I did not do enough research to know about the AirTran seat issue for booming through Southwest but it is one we can hopefully work with now that I have read and researched.
However, while researching I have began to wonder about using RAC and bag checking. Has anyone booked Airtran through SW and used RAC and check bags? One site states you can't use it but that is the only place I have read about it.
I am considering changing our return flight to a SW flight but then to make the timing work, we turn a 2 hr nonstop flight into 4/5 hours plus a layover and add $90. We would land in Columbus around 10pm and still have to drive 2.5 hours home.
I wish I had done more research and just booked with Delta out of CVG like we always do but I thought I was getting a deal.
