Airtran rewards?

A couple of weeks ago I booked our airfare to Orlando when Airtran was running the great sale. We were able to get 4 one way tickets for $99 each from Detroit. We were kind of back and forth as to adding days onto the end of our trip so we only booked one way. So today I go to Airtran to book our return flights using rewards, and we are unable to book using rewards according to the flight schedule. It looks like only the first half of the day can we use our rewards for. Does anyone have experience with Airtran opening more seats later in the day for rewards? I hope that makes sense
