Airtran Participation

well i just did the unthinkable and called

i was told the pilot program is over and at this point they are not a participating airline in any capacity, so it's just a matter of waiting for AirTran to make a decision

I'll keep my fingers crossed too. That would just mean I would need to check out of my room with my luggage, leave it in storage and then put it on the bus myself. Then I would need to go to baggage at the airport and check it in. At BWV I could have already printed my boarding passes and selected my seats 24 hours prior. ( I won't be using it arriving anyway, as I am going to Universal first )
Is the above correct in the event they do not extend it?

for participating airlines, it's actually up to them, but i think every participating airline is at every disney resort at the time.

Every single WDW owned-and-operated resort has a Resort Airline Check-in desk. The list of "participating airlines" is all-or-nothing, it doesn't go by resort.

... any sort of pilot program. AirTran is involved in a pilot program, working out the kinks of being a participating airline. That pilot program is being run at the deluxe resorts and CSR. That's only because it's a small test, and is NOT meant to be a permanent amenity available only to the deluxe resorts and CSR.

I'm subscribing to this thread because I'm flying AirTran in May and August. It would be great if they chose to participate. Keep us updated, please!
