Airtran told me their MCO counter opens at 5 a.m. I'm looking at a 6 a.m. flight. I worried about security lines and not having enough time. Anyone have experience with this?

Do you need to go to the counter? You could do the online check in the day before at your resort concierge desk or at the airline check in desk and then check your bags curbside, if they offer it. You would be good to go....

Good luck.

I would be standing in line for when the counter opens. The security line is likely to be long also.

I suggest you try to check any luggage you have with the shycaps. Since you can print out your boarding passes 24 hours before your flight you would then have no reason to go to the counter.
If you must go to the counter I agree with the previous poster and be there as early as you can. The lines for both the counter and security may be pretty long.
