We had the same thing happen to us a couple months back, for our trip around the same time - only it was for our return. Sadly, we were originally flying out of St. Louis, so that we could spend Thanksgiving with both of our families (in two towns). We had to cancel both of our flights, and switch back to our regular airports in Chicago. We do plan on having thanksgiving with one family 3 hrs, then driving back to Chicago (home) and flying out on Saturday. Our flight is now significantly earlier, too - which is good and bad, but our return is about the same. At least after the flight home, we'll be "home" - and don't have to drive back (especially since the kids have school the next day). Our flights were also $20 cheaper/each. It was just a hassle making the changes.
