last i flew AT (Dec) I was able to carryon small garment bag & stow overhead
not sure if their carryon dimensions have changed since then, or i just got lucky stowing it on different trips last year flying them
I checked the site for current luggage policy/fees & noticed that my bag is slightly larger than their stated size for checked luggage.
my bag size is:
23 X 3-1/2 (7 folded) X 44 (22 folded) inches or 52 linear inches
their site states max of:
24 X 13 X 18 or 55 linear inches
I've called them and was told to email question, which i did twice; getting confirming receipt of my query & promising a reply but no go
anybody travel AT with checked garment bag lately?
if i get to gate & bag is denied during board or doesn't fit, do i have option to check it then?
yes, i am indeed cheap enough to want to skip paying to check all my bags
also will have formal wear for cruise & would like to avoid it going MIA (as i've had happen before when flying AT).
