I'm still searching for a flight in that would be cheaper than what Disney is giving me and I wondered what other airports I should be looking at other than Orlando MCO? Are there any closeby that might give me a better rate? So far I'm seeing $200 and above each way each person so between that and tax and the transfer fees/cab cost I think Disney's done better than I have. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I am assuming by your scrren name that you are flying from Boston.....So if that is the case..I just saw a junk email from orbitz.com that had fares from Boston to Florida (ithink Orlando) for as low as $144.00. I didn't pay too much attention because I wouldn't be flying from Boston but it might be wortha look (i think it was on USAir).

I am still hoping that when Southwest starts flying out of Philadelphia in May I will be able to get some great rates. Lately it has been $212.00 per person roundtrip.

$69 each way, but it's a limited window...and that's to Orlando, or a couple of other FL destinations.

I see the ads for this all over the T right now, so thought I'd peek when I read your post.

I'm flying out of Boston. I looked at JetBlue and all of the good fares are taken for April 17 and 18 so they're charging well over $200 each way now. Southwest is all booked.

I just wasn't sure how far places like Tampa and Jacksonville are to Cape Canaveral.

Tampa is 2 - 2 1/2 hours from the port. It's a nice easy drive. Not sure about Jacksonville.

bostonlass - I just did a little looksee on orbitz and this is what I found:

Boston to Orlando Depart 4/17 return 4/22 or 23
$221 per person round trip

Boston to Orlando Depart 4/18 return 4/22 or 23
$290 per person round trip

Thanks! I opted for Tampa and am renting a car to drive from there to Disney. The Orbitz prices that I saw that were cheap were from Pan Am and were "call to reserve" but when I called Pan Am they said that Orbitz is publishing inaccurate fairs so the price for the roundtrip nonstop that was on Orbitz was actually $100 higher. I decided to go directly to the airlines and found a flight for $250 roundtrip from NorthWest.
