Airportability??

Airportability is not listed as a permitted company in the Orlando Airport. You are looking at an individual who put up a website offering transportation, who will sub out your reservation to an individual who may or may not be permitted at Orlando International Airport. I would love to see what type of insurance they carry. If something happens, you leave something in the car, you will never be able to find the company. I would suggest you stay away from that company and maybe use the ones suggested on the boards or look into the Orlando Airport website and pick a couple of companies that are permitted there.

Nice looking site, but I will bet they don't have anything like what is pictured there. This is a transportation broker who is selling rides to other drivers. Do you see any company names on those vehicles. Your reservation will probably get brokered to a driver that will accept less than market prices thereby robbing you the chance to deal with a normal or above average company.

Thanks Edd!!! Wow, I had NO idea...soooo glad I haven't booked with them! You saved me alot of headaches! OK, so what we need is transportation from Sanford airport to POP, round trip. This is why I am having such a problem...alot of the companies I have seen only service MCO. Any advice or suggestions would be welcomed! Thanks again!!

You can go to the Sanford airport website Orlandosanfordairport.com and look for the words Ground Transportation on the right hand column. Under that are the words Taxi/Limo/shuttle. Click on those words. You will be at the Vehicle-for-hire site. Look down the list and take your pick to shop. Those companies are permitted at the Sanford airport.

I have been a client of Airportability for eight (8) years now! I have had nothing but great service! I was shocked to see the information on here so I asked the owner personally about it (as it worried me). He took the time to explain everything to me. He told me that the permits and commercial insurance is obtained through a larger group that consists of a few other small businesses and thereby getting better and stronger insurance under this umbrella. He assured me that permits are valid and that he wouldn't even be able to enter the airport without it. They always meet me at the baggage claim with a sign for me and help me with my luggage. The vehicles are always clean and the drivers polite and helpful. He is not a broker as the owner himself has picked me up on several occasions and is a nice, honest businessman. If you call the number you will always get an answer.

Hence, before you malign a company, do your homework. Why am I taking my time and effort to write this? I am a businesswoman and small business owner myself and know the value of a good reputation. If it were not for my own clients referring others to me I would lose a lot of business.

Please do yourself a favor and try them. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

What a coincidence that you found this board and answered this query in your very first post! Sure you aren't affiliated with this company?

I was wondering the same thing given the fact that this thread hasn't been posted to in almost 5 years.

Yes, I am a loyal client, if that is a connection. I have been very happy with their service and wanted to set the record straight. You can do your own research and find the same thing. I did google the name of the company and saw the reviews come up. I looked at the first one and it was this one. Period. I read it and was flabbergasted. I am 59 years old and do not have time to play games.

Thank you

I have looked at this site. I am hesitant to go so far as to say that this particular poster (meza53) is connected with this company, but it does seem to be a bit odd that someone comes along to comment about a company that was discussed 5 years ago. If, as you said, meza53, you have been a loyal and happy customer for 8 years, I'm not sure why you would be googling for reviews of this company at this point. That does seem odd to me, to say the least.

This company is not listed with the allowed shuttle/car services for Sanford International. It does sound like a company that is one of many doing business under another name...a kind of subcontracting type thing. And this makes me very nervous. If something goes wrong, who is going to make it right?? And how easy is that going to be? I would recommend going with companies that are permitted at Sanford, those that many of us here have used. I would really hate to see someone's trip start off on a bad note due to a recommendation here.

Please make no mistakes here...if we find that a company has started posting, under a different screen name, in order to get business, they will be banned from all discussion here. It has happened before and it is NOT tolerated. Nor can they (a company) ask it's customers to come here and post great reviews. Just saying.

LOL! I have no idea what your age has to do with anything!

But IMHO folks this is an adverstisement! I realize the moderators can't prove it but RUN!!!! (And by the way thier BBB rating is F! basically they failed to respond to whatever complaint was filed)

And this is one of the big issues I have with "car services" in Orlando. No enforcement, apparently little regulation so any "bubba" with a car can be a "car service" Much less professional overall then car services I have used at other airports. At this point rather then roll the dice I just rent a car or take ME.

I have to agree. BUT...I will go so far as to say that there are some tried and true car services out there. Many of us have used them with very good results. I have no issue recommending them...and I do, all the time. But, you're right. It's so easy for anyone to just say they are a car service and cart you around. Kind of makes it a crap shoot unless you get some recommendations before booking with anyone.

Great advice - look for reviews here and on other travel websites. I have used one of the banned companies (sorry) with good results and some of the recommended companies with not so good results.

My last few trips have ben with Florida Tours (after two mixups with another company popular here) and they have been great!! They will be my first choice whenever we can't use DME.

And.....we are done. This is getting ridiculous!
