Airport to CBR

Just wondering how much time it takes to get from airport to CBR?

We are arriving on a Wed @ 6 pm into Orlando & have arranged for Star Taxi Town Car to pick us up.

Has anyone had experiences with asking their drivers in the past to stop @ a Grocery Store on route to WDW Resort Hotel and what has been their answer.

Suggestions for Food Store to stop @?
Would be nice to get a driver who would stop on way to CBR for 20 minutes of snack food shopping.

Welcome to the DIS, REL479!

I usually estimate that I will get to my resort about 90 minutes after my flight lands, including getting my luggage, grocery stop, and the ride to the resort. When I checked into Pop last week, our flight landed at 1:30, and we were checked in and in our room by 3:00. Our grocery stop was really quick--we knew what we wanted, so we were out of there in less than 15 minutes.

We have booked Star Town Car to meet us @ airport.

With most of these taxi services, is it normally not a problem asking the driver to stop for a short grocery run on the way?

Is there a charge or extra " tip" offered to driver to accomodate the stop?

We have pre-paid for Star Service with WDW bookings, so not sure what to expect with tipping driver or getting him to stop for us.

You are talking at least a 30 min ride to the resort. A taxi is an expensive way to go. They would probably keep the meter running while you are shopping.

A one way ride is about $50 not including the tip without them waiting for you to shop.

There are limo companies that many people use that are cheaper and include the grocery stop.

Safety Mom - We have booked the Limo Company _ Star Taxi/Limo....
I never thought at time of booking the town car service from airport to inquire on a STOP @ Grocery Store on route to CBR.

Should I be checking with Star Co. in advance or just trust that the driver is used to requests for people to stop @ a grocery store.

Is it an extra charge or just a tip to the driver... standard tip is ___?

I'd call or email your transportation company and inquire how they do things. IE: Is grocery stop an option? Is there an extra fee for the grocery stop?

In regards to tip, most Town Car companies note a 10% (min) tip on their websites.
