Airport question

We usually fly from San Jose to Long Beach on JetBlue. However, they no longer fly that route. They do fly Oakland-Long Beach but Southwest has cheaper flights on our dates. They don't fly into Long Beach, they fly into SNA and ONT. Which one is closer/more convenient? What is the best way to get to DLR from there? Thanks!

SNA is actually closer than Long Beach (LGB), I would go with them. I always fly into SNA, and its a great small airport. They have Supershuttle, Disneyland Express, and taxi.

Hooray Hooray for SNA!

We flew into SNA a few weeks ago for the first time. We used Super Shuttle to take us from/to the airport. The cost was $10 each way for both of us. When we booked we used the coupon code UYR59 to get a discount of $3 off each way, per person. In order to get the discount per person you need to book each person's reservation separately. We also paid the tip online so it was very convenient to have everything taken care of transportation-wise ahead of time. The total came to $35.20 for 2 round-trip fares including tip. After picking up bags, head out the doors right there by baggage claim. Super Shuttle picks up at the 3rd island--which is also the last island. There was a Super Shuttle employee with a clipboard "checking people in." They just group about 9 people together who are going to areas near each other, but they can figure that out ahead of time when you book because they have your flight info and destination info. The fact that we paid for it all ahead of time made it go smoothly. As far as returning to the airport goes, they gave us 3 or 4 choices for a pick-up time from our hotel. The pick-up times are given in 15 minute windows. We selected that ahead of time as well. We were at our hotel ready to go for our pick-up time of 3:55 - 4:10pm. We were picked up on time at 3:55, arrived at the airport, printed our boarding passes, checked a bag, went through security, and were waiting by our gate by 4:30! One tip I was given was to give your flight departure time to Super Shuttle as 30 min. later than what it is because things tend to go smoothly and quickly at SNA. We did that and still had a 2 hour wait. We were very pleased with SNA and Super Shuttle. :)

SNA is about 5 miles closer than LGB, but I do have to say (as you have experienced), it is VERY tough to find an airport that is as easy and simple to get in and out of as LGB. It's just so small that it's a dream in terms of simplicity.

That said, SNA is a nice airport.

Either choice is not going to be a bad one.

Very nice!

We also take Supershuttle at SNA, and used the same coupon. I have been very satisfied. It was cheap and a lot faster than I expected. If only they had carseats I'd be in heaven.
