Hi All,

Just a friendly reminder that there will be two new episodes of Airline on tonight - A&E - 10pm & 10:30pm Eastern time!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

For those of you who haven't seen this show yet - cameras follow Southwest Airlines customers and employees around and document the day-to-day business of flying. Tune in tonight - I promise you'll be glad you did! :)

DH & I want to know why you would fly Southwest after watching this show? It sure doesn't make SWA look like a good company.

Really? I disagree. I think a lot of the SWA passengers expect way too much, and SWA does seem to try very hard to get everything solved as well as they can. Everyone has an 'off' day, airlines, and their employees included.

Thanks for the heads up on the new shows!!!!

Thanks for the heads up! I missed the episode last night so I'm glad there will be more today :p

Since we're flying Southwest Airlines in a few weeks, maybe I shouldn't watch this show!

I disagree! I've seen the way the SW employees handle some very difficult customers! I'm an airline employee, too, but have no passenger contact. I wouldn't want their job ever! I think they do a great job!

I have to disagree as well. While I think SW might get more of it's share of colorful characters because of the amazing fares they offer their employees handle these situations with what I consider grace under fire. I know I couldn't do it day in and day out. Every airline has customer issues but SW was confident enough in themselves to have these broadcast to millions.

When we were in San Diego were rode an airport shuttle with a bunch of SW flight attendants and pilots. They were so nice to us and especially to DD.

Now that SW flies out of Philly we look forward to using them and of course I look forward to watch the show.

Count me as another who disagrees. I have always found SW employees to be very nice and helpful and I think this show only emphasizes that. I believe I saw every episode last season and I didn't see ONE thing that would cause me to fly another airline.

Thanks for the post! I wasn't aware that they had new episodes already. I'll make sure to tune in tonight.

Thanks for the reminder. Love this show!! Think it's hilarious. I heard the producers originally approached Northwest, American Airlines and United and they all turned it down. I wonder in a strange sort of way if this is boosting sales cause it's like advertisement for SW. I know I wouldn't want to work for an airlines over the ticket counter. One thing I've learned from the show, is how many drunk passengers there are!

I watch Airline also and I do see the point of view that SWA gets terrible passengers but I also think there have been situations where SWA could handle themselves better.

That guy Mike (manager I think) is awesome though!

One of the residents at my last job works customer service at Atllanta's Hartsfield Jackson airport. She asked if I wanted an application and the first thing I thought about was THIS SHOW....

We taped the show at 10:30 last week and it cut off the end with body builder. Did he win the competition?

This can be said for EVERY company in business.

Yes, he did.

The first show is the Southwest version. The second is the US version. Just as funny!

Well I had tears in my eyes last night when the guy returned from Iraq  . To me it seems most of the problems with the customers is that many get there 20 minutes before the flight is to leave and are suprised their seats are gone. The only thing I really see wrong with SWA is the waaaay overbooking of some flights. Maybe overbooking by a few people but they have had flights on there overbooked by 50 people

All airlines do this to save money for the customers. Generally, 15% of passengers don't show up for flights and would leave planes with seats available, which costs the airlines more money.

I've watched the whole last season of this show and I would not hesitate to fly Southwest. We loved them before this show and now that I've seen their exemplary employees in action, I love them even more!

I watched it lastnight and I didn't see anything that would make me want to switch from our Soutwest flight in August.

A co-worker's DH works for United and she said one of the reasons that airlines overbook is because there are so many no-shows. If they didn't overbook, the planes would leave 1/2 full (or half empty, depending on how you look at it!) That's what she said anyway.
