I can get tickets for the exact flight I want but it is ll months away. I am not familiar with the rules if you can't make that flight. Someone told me all you have to do is reschedule and you won't lose out. You only lose out if you don't travel at all in that year? Do you make flights that far out? Do more flights open up ? Thanks for any help! What would you do? It is a great price so I don't want to miss out.

I just had to cancel a trip. They sad I have 1 year to re-book the tickets and I will have to pay a $25 change fee on each ticket. The change fee may vary by airline so I would call them to confirm their policy. If the airfare is really good, I would book now because you never know what airfares will be like later on due to rising fuel costs.

I thought you get the best rate far in advanced. When we book our trip to Spain through British air about 9 months in advance the fare went down. They never honored the new fair. For the 6 tickets we would have saved about $700.00 all together. Oh well live and learn :sad2:

It really depends on the class of ticket you buy. I bought the tix for our flight in September in April at a very attractive price: €1,178/$1500 for two adults return Frankfurt/Germany-Orlando. If I had to cancel those tickets rebooking would cost me an arm and a leg. The more expensive your ticket the easier and the cheaper it is to reschedule and vice versa.
