Airline online check-in

Flying America West tomorrow. So we can check-in online and print boarding passes at home. Then we can check our luggage curbside or at a station inside, right? We don't have to check in anywhere else at the airport, right? We just head right to the gate and wait to be called for boarding, right?

Yes, that's the way it works.

Just make sure you have your boarding passes and your id in your hand when you go through the security check because they will ask to see them.

I'm not 100 % sure of the luggage part because we usually only have carry ons.

It is a beautiful thing but I also find it kind of weird. Just seems like it is way too easy in this day of supposedly increased security.

Flying out of Orange County CA this last week the whole online check in for NWA is kind of defeated because the only place to check your luggage was inside at the counter. So, they had everyone waiting in line and three staff people standing there helping while people checked in their own luggage. I like it much better at MSP when I can just check the bag at the curb and be done with it. Actually, I really like it when I just have a carry on as I did on my way out. (Sis gave me a lot of clothes and I had to check a bag on the way home.)
