Airline employees how does this work?

If you are an airline employee flying on a pass how do you handle the ME since you aren't exactly sure which flight you'll be coming into MCO on? Also for the return trip when you call the RAC bags number can you check your bags even if you don't know which flight you'll get on to return? You wouldn't be a ticketed passenger. We always just pay for our tickets but we're thinking maybe this year trying to fly on a pass.

For the flight into MCO, you could give ME any flight coming in that day. It actually doesn't matter if you show up on that flight or not, as long as you have a reservation that day. Every arriving passengers ME ticket says flight arrival time is 12:00. The only bad thing is if you don't get on any flights into MCO that day, you wouldn't have a ME reservation if flying in the next day.

As for flying home from MCO, You again would have to give ME a flight that leaves 3 hours after you want to go to MCO. You would not be able to use RAC because you are not a ticketed passenger. You would have to take your bags on the bus to MCO.

I never give DME flight times when we book, because we generally don't have them and may not even fly. I even sometimes have folks coming in on different days after my reservation starts. The arrival matters not at all!!!!

You have DME reservations for your reservation. As long as you are in the computer, they will take you to your resort when you arrive. If you have yellow tags on your bags, they will take them to your resort when they arrive.

The return is a little different. We give DME our return time when we arrive at the airport.

In your case, you would need to give DME the flight number of the earliest flight that you would want to take on your departure day. Then as the previous poster stated, carry your own bags on the bus.

The times we have flown on pass travel we have always had to gather our own bags on arrival and departure. You unfortunately cannot use resort check in since their system does not allow them the ability to print a priority access card so you must do that online or at the airport (depending on your airlines non rev check in policy).

One item I am not sure you may know about is that Disney Reservations now has an interline call center. I don't have the number off the top of my head but when I have called rez I have asked for the interline department. Sometimes they transfer other times they just give me the number. Usually they have some great hotel deals (I have received upwards of 60% off the rack rate at delux/DVC resorts), when booking they are aware of the fact that flying non-rev may not get you there on the day or time you stated, it is noted in your reservation. As with any interline deal the closer you are to the date of departure the better the deal I have been able to obtain. Their deals are good for you and one other party traveling with you (non family). They do state that the interline deals are usually room only and you cannot book them with any other deal or package. Also we have always received some other perk with the hotel reservation such as mini golf. To get the deals you need a faxed letter from HR on company stationary stating you are an active employee and your employee number. They also require a fax of your airline ID. I have been asked at the hotel to show my airline ID as well but this is hit or miss.
