I just recieved my flight email information and it said to check in online and get my boarding passes up to 30 hours before my flight. I have never done this before...is it a good way to check in or should I just print my tickets off and check in at the airport?

I used the USAir on line check in for my trip in September, I used it from Phila to Orlando but not back because I did not have access to a computer.
It was very easy, I justed printed everything and gave it to the sky cap (I used the curb check in) it went smoothly, no problems and then I did not have to check in again at the gate.

OK thanks! That sounds easier to me. I wonder if I go to Disney Quest and use a computer there if I'd be able to confirm my flight back online? Has anyone ever used these computers for anything like this?

i love this new feature. i flew on airtran in august and i checked in at home and picked seats and printed boarding passes. i had bags to check and was traveling with children so i went in and checked my bags and then went to the gate. to come home, i got on the internet at the resort (AKL) and checked in again. the only thing about the return is that AKL didn't have a place to print the boarding passes so i just jotted down the confirmation #'s and i didn't have any problems!!!

It's quite nice being able to bypass the ticket counter and go straight to the security gate, so I really like it when I can use it. Unfortunately, I usually find myself on Delta, and I usually have a bag to check, and Delta does not allow online check-in if you are checking bags. So, I usually end up using the self-service kiosks, which are almost as nice as online check-in, except that they do have significant lines some times.

So, bottom line: If you are not checking bags, by all means try online check-in. If you are, check with your airline to determine if they allow checked bags with online check-in.

If your resort has a business center you can print your boarding passes there. Or if you have a car, there is a Kinkos right down from DD by the McDonalds, that has 12 Pc's there. The Kinkos is next to the Tony Roma's restraunt.

We always print our boarding passes from home or our resort and have never had a problem. We always do carry on's only which makes it even easier.::yes::
