So we are Travelling Nov 21- Dec 4 airfare has dropped about 30 bucks per ticket since Thursday. Do you guys think it will drop anymore. I know Tue. Is usually the best day to buy. But am worried that with all the troubles in Syria its all up hill up from here. What do you guys think.
We live in a small city so our options are limited as far as airlines. We have Delta or Continental

Who knows what airfares will do:confused3

Set up a fare alert on Kayak--it will let you know of any fare changes. I need to book 2 more trips before the end of the year--one to CA and the other to Germany and farewatching is like an Olympic event for me:goodvibes

Continental Airlines merged with United Airlines. It no longer exists. Did you mean United?

I would be buying these tickets soon.

I'd buy them...your trip is getting close...

With the price dropping 30.00 I would buy them, why take a chance.

Our trip is nov 14-20th. I bought last week. I had been watching them go up and down for a couple months and when they dropped $40 I booked. They went back down 20 next day. We fly out of a small city also. I just feel more relaxed now that I know everything is taken care of.

Unless it's roughly the equivalent of lowest historical fares, I'd wait. In my experience plane fares bounce around a lot until about 6-8 weeks out and then they tend to bottom out. For the most part, I think Bing is garbage as a search engine but their travel price predictor can actually be helpful. It'll give you an idea of historical fares for the route you're flying and gives you a heads up if they think fares will go up or down or whatever.

Of course, peace of mind is pretty valuable too. So, if you decide to buy your tickets now, I highly recommend not looking at fares anymore or it'll just drive you crazy. :)
