Please bear with me. I have been so patient waiting and waiting and checking and checking...I just cannot believe the airfare prices for May of 07. I'm devestated. I want so badly to go to DW but there is no way on earth I can do it if the prices stay as high as they are....I just don't know what to do. I have searched every airline every day to try and catch a break and it's just not coming. I am willing to even go as high as $225 r/t per person (there are 4 of us) from Boston, but these fares are upwards of $350!!!! I am so discouraged. What should I do? Is there any hope???

I feel your pain!

I have been online daily and I am amazed how high the prices have been.

I usually buy real early but there has not been anything below 375/pp rt and thats for flights with all these funky lay overs and connections. I am hoping once Southwest comes out the fares will be a little more competitive.

I guess I have been spoiled since I have purchased tickets in the past at really low prices.

Without sounding ignorant, I truly do not understand what is going on. It's ridiculous. Even flying out of Manchester, NH is bad. :sad2:

We used to drive 2.5 hours for cheap ($125 to $150 a head RT many years ago) fares. Think about driving further to different AP's.

This is REALLY early for May '07. Assuming that you are not looking for Memorial Day weekend, you would probably find better fares starting in about early February.

We drive two hours to fly out of Detroit because flying from our local airport is always at least $100 more and you will then have to change planes in Detroit. It doesn't take that much gas to drive down there, plus we usually plan it so we can visit our family and friends down there so it all works out. I was looking at the fares for the end of April/early May to a couple of places and the fares were quite high, but then again when I first check the fare for our Orlando flight it was almost $300 and its down to $150 total.
