I have a question about airfare. I am planning my trip for the end of 2007 and will most likely book in January. I am wondering if I should book my airfare with the package or buy my flight separatly. Right now tickets are about $560 pp (on Delta) :sad2: . I need to buy 5 tickets so it is a big chunk of change. If I do buy with Disney will the price fluctuate or is it set. If I wait I might be able to get the tickets for around $450 pp. Still a lot but I would be saving over $500. What would you do? We only have Delta, NW, Continental & I think (not sure) about United.

Airfares are never good purchasing this far in advance. The best fares are usually 1-3 months in advance of your travel dates when some low fare airline has started a sale which the other airlines have to match. At those times we see Denver, Salt Lake City, Spokane and others at $198rt and sometimes even less. The problem with Montana is that sales normally don't include cities in that state unless the sale happened to be started by one of the carriers that serves your cities and even then only if they make it a system-wide sale. Still, $550rt is outrageous and even if you can't make your way to one of the alternative cities I listed, it's almost certain to get lower, not higher. I realize you may not want to wait until 3 months before your trip but you can certainly scan fares from January to June and then bite when it's at your $450 point and if you're lucky, even lower.

Thank you very much for your advice. I will wait and watch. My friend just took the trip from MT to WDW in June and was able to get 300 pp so I guess there is hope. I am such a nervous traveler and would hate not to be able to get a flight after I book the package.
