airfare from nyc presidents week '04

trying to plan a week in the world during presidents week '04 but getting sticker shock from the airfares. Any idea when, or if, the airfares come down a wee bit? thanks

Did you try Jet Blue out of JFk they always seem to have the lowest airfare to me.
I got 4 round trips in oct for $560.00.
