airconditioning in may?

i am planning on going to the world in may. right around the middle of the month. my question is about airconditioning? is it turned on in may and if so how cold is it? i went in july of 2001. got so cold from the air conditioning i bought a jacket. it is a nice jacket but the CM had to go to the back of the store to find one for me! so now i just really want to know what to pack. jeans and shirts or shorts and shirts?

I think it depends on how you handle temp. It gets pretty hot in May so I would imagine the ac would be on in most places. I'd bring a jacket if you needed one previously. Have a great trip.

Yes, it gets pretty hot and humid in May - the a/c is usually blaring. Good idea to bring a light jacket.

Yes it is very warm in May. Last May it was as hot as July usually is, so said the people at ASMu. Anyway, the airconditioning is on and if you get chilly then a jacket is very necessary(sp?). I know it was hotter there then here in Texas and that is very strange. I was in a complete drenching sweat by 10 am or earlier on a couple of days. When we went in 2001 it wasn't that hot but still we had to have airconditioning. Hope you have a warm trip!

We go in May and the air conditioning is definitely on. The temps are usually in the 80's. Very nice. In fact, we went in December and they had the air conditioning cranked. I think Floridians really love air conditioning. We were there like I said in December and we visited the Lion King show at MK. We were so cold we had to leave. It was plain artic in there.

I've never been uncomfortable in any of the attractions in May though. Have fun - the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot is breathtaking.

When we go in March, the ac is on in all the stores in all the parks etc... I would guess they go by the temps outside. Usually when we are there at the end of March, it gets in the mid 80's sometimes.

I have the same problem with a/c. Carrying a jacket around is too cumbersome for me. Try bringing a long sleeved shirt. You can roll it up and tie it around your waist. If you wear a waist pouch over it, no one will even notice. Oh, and btw...May is my favorite time at WDW. Epcot is especially beautiful with the lovely gardens.
