Air Tran Check In

We just returned from ESPN the Weekend yesterday. We flew AT, no problem at all.

BUT, My advice to those flying AT....checkin at your resort 24 hours in advance.

The line yesterday for those at OIA who did not checkin and have their boarding passes printed was at least 1 hour.

We checked in on Saturday and our wait was 10 minutes yesterday. Several people were in danger of missing their flights.

AT had 2 seperate lines. one for those who did not checkin 24 hours in advance and one for those not checked in at all.

The line for luggage was for those who had checked in already. That line was 10 minutes.

They had ( at least yesterday ) 2 seperate lines.

Thanks For the heads up My family and I are using Airtran in august going to WDW . Did you get seats together? I want to keep both kids with an adult at all times.

Yes, our seats were together. There was only me & DW. The CM just took the reservation number. All the names come up under one number. If you have 4 people, you may want to checkin as early as possible once you hit your 24 hour window to ensure you get the seats next to each other.

We going in August too. We up in the air about staying at POLY with free dining or switching to CBR with no dining.

The dining, for just 2 of us, is actually going to cost us more. PLUS, we would probably each gain 50 pounds over the 10 days.

We booked the "bounceback" offer in November 2006.

One more question When getting ready to leave the resort, is there a computer with internet access or do I need to call Airtran? I wish i could have booked the bounce back offer or had a discount pin. Thanks alot KingGoofy

Your best bet is to just go to the custom house with your Air Tran Conf # and let them do it for you. It takes not even 5 minutes. BUT, the rooms have internet access. BUT, you need to print out the boarding pass which they will do at the front desk. Calling Airtran would be of no help to you.

last august we had checked in on-line 24 hours before at our resort only to show up at the airport to a huge line. I asked the airtran rep where we needed to go because we had used the on-line check in and just need to check-in luggage. He said that it didn't matter that we still had to wait in the huge line.


I said I don't think so and took the luggage outside and used curbside check-in and there were only 2 people in front of me.
