Our Western Cruise leaves 7/3/04, and I've been shopping the Travelocity and Expedias of the world for months now, hoping for the price to go down. The best I can do is about $232 from Lexington, KY to Orlando (also checked Louisville and Cincinnati).

Is it time for me now to come to the conclusion that prices won't go down due to the holiday? Or do you think I should hold on for a while?

I'd also like to hear some general info about airline pricing. I am planning a trip to Minnesota at the end of July and I am astonished at the air prices, even through Travelocity, Expedia, etc. Should I book early (now) or should I wait and hope a deal comes up?

bwbuddy, My opinion is, that the cost of fuel is going to pressure the airlines to raise their ticket prices from current levels. Especially with your trip in July. I have already booked my air tickets for my cruise for Oct. I am paying $260 roundtrip from Colorado to Orlando. Its actually $200, and the other $60 is the tax/fees.
