Just adding to my husband's post regarding KY! Paducah and the west got it worse than most of the state.As of right now though with the warmer temps everything is melting. However more snow is headed our way tonight.

Thanks everyone, and as everyone stated before I hope those wihtout power get relief soon. When we originallybooked we where worried about flights getting out do to weather so thought we would drive. Now sounds like driving may a bit more of a challenge. LOL I hope the snow predicted misses you or at least is a dusting. Crazy how we are warmer up here in Chicago.

Morning everyone!

I hope everyone is thawing out. Did I mention it was 65 in Denver yesterday??? Its only going to be 35 today. This weather is crazy!!!!!!

I'm oncall for my job this weekend and I got a lovely call at 2 AM yesterday morning and 4:30 this morning to work outages. Hopefully things will be quiet today during the Superbowl.

I've got so much to do today....finish up my FE gifts, pack more, finish the laundry, clean the house. UGH!

Regarding the road conditions for Ky. I am in the southern tip on IN(KY is a few mins drive away for us). I know the drive from Chicago well! We used to live in Rockford, IL. The highways are mostly clear, around Paducah, Madisonville, and Hopkinsville(toward Nashville) there might be some patchy lane restrictions due to fallen trees. Otherwise we are getting a big melt today!! Have a safe trip!

Has anyone called to find out the movies onboard? I would call, but I haven't packed a thing! and we are leaving in a day and a half...nothing like waiting till the last minute. But a week of ice and snow and thrown me off!

I did call on the movies back in January. they listed Bolt, Walle, Beverly Hills Chuwawa (sp), Hannah Montanna, HSM 3and then one new one would come in Feb. Maybe Jonas Bros or Bedtime Stories?

Cemeb4dk: you make me laugh!! It is pretty rare for hubbies to plan the vaca, but I think its great and would love it if mine did. Feel free to get in the superbowl talk though! I didn't see a response to the shuttle question and was thinking about it. Although can't answer from experience, I would just wait until you get there to decide and find out how much cab fare is and then you might be able to decide. Maybe you can also find out if you can go ahead. I think that is a great idea. I do think you are better early than late. It shouldn't bee too bad hanging out in the terminal and just enjoying the "moment" and just looking ahead to the vaca. Before you know it we will be getting and looking back.

Love the steelers sign, and wish you luck. However my kids are cowboys fans, so get this: if the steelers win, they pull ahead of the cowboys with one more superbowl win than them. We just can't have that! sorry. I do also like rooting for the underdog as well.

Tracey, sweet of you to think of me as far as FE, but I did not join soon enough. And that is OK. I have loved just getting to know all of you. My kids are going to decorate the door though, we love that idea. But maybe next year for the FE. We did get cabin 6081. We were hoping for an upgrade, but were not lucky enough this time. Although, when I checked out our room and found out we are near the elevators and the laundry room I was very happy about that! Everyone enjoy your last sunday at home and enjoy the next week. There is nothing better than the feeling of knowing we are sooooooooooo close!!!

Speaking of door decorations, I grabbed A LOT of Mickey head paint chips from Home Depot in both Alien Green and Black. I will bring my extras to share with anyone that wants them....they will be cut out and magnetized for your decorating pleasure.

only a week to go! we started counting down at my house at 100 days and all of a sudden it's almost here!
I have to join with my friend Laura and root for the Steelers today. Sorry Cardinal fans. Hope they don't beat you too badly!
At this time next week we will all be meeting (it's 2pm Chicago time-3pm Florida time) for the first time!

Jill, we are doing similar, leaving BUF (forecast is cold but clear) at noon arriving at MCO at 2:45 pm then heading to CBR for a night in the pirate ship beds, lol.

we are leaving noon on Friday, driving down. That gets us there really early Sat Morning. I hope our room is ready because I will be tired. Our original plan was to leave at 2 pm, but I am to anxious to go, by Friday it will probably be 10Am, I will be up anyways. LOL
