OK....I'm home now and WE HAVE HEAT! It doesn't take much to make me happy.
I really think that God and the health department are working together--I really should throw away everything in my refrigerator once a year or so and clean the whole thing. Hee hee. The fridge is done. It smelled bad. I went to the grocery and bought milk and apple juice. We ate out last night. Today I need to tackle the freezer...but I might do the getting ready for the cruise instead.
All the stuff about door decorations, magnets, making pretty, etc. may have to go out the window. THere's just too much to do around here to get back to "normal." We can't get in or out of the garage till the tree man comes, and that could be weeks. Good thing I put the car at the end of the garage--never would have gotten it up the hill if I hadn't.
For the person who asked about KY roads--the roads are fine. The interstates are completely clear. The problem is power lines and phone lines down all over the state. They're saying it will be 3-4 more days till all of Louisville is restored and up to 6 weeks before some rural areas are finished. If you get off the "beaten path" you'll find limbs blocking some roads, but stick to anything with an interstate or state hwy. designation and you'll be ok. You know you're in trouble when your city is on the national news!
So....I'm good. Cleaning and packing....
As to whomever was worrying about 11 being too late to get to port--what do you need to do when you board? If you don't need any reservations, 11 is plenty early. If you are trying to get Palo or something, it may be late. Yes, your wife can check in for the family if you drop her off.
I'd love two of the "cut out and magnitized" Mickey heads. I don't know if I'll get to a craft store for magnets. Ah well, Saturday is coming no matter what I have finished or not!
