Hello folks :earsboy:

We just returned from our 13 day stay at WDW and as always its never enough time. This time we experienced something we never have before and don't want to again. I'm curious if any of you have had this experience too...

During the Spectromagic show on Wednesday evening we were watching the parade in front of Tony's and decided we wanted to head over to Buzz Light Year, well.......a CM directed us to go through the open gate between the Confectionary and Tony's and we walked BEHIND the store's on Main Street. Initially, I thought "cool" we've never done this before, and how time efficient but then when I saw all the boxes and the garbage cans, etc. I made my 3 & 7 year old to look down at their feet because I didn't want this to ruin the "magic". Even my husband asked aloud as we walked by a CM and security guard "are you sure we should be doing this? Do you think Walt would want us doing this?" ......Any way, it took away some of the magic and we won't make that choice again if given.

Just my opinion.

They do that from time-to-time to help manage the crowd flow. But this seems like an odd time of year to have to do that. I normally only hear about it during the peak Easter / Christmas seasons.

Actually this happened to us in March. Personally, I thought it was kind of neat seeing all the behind the scenes stuff. Saves money from having to take an actual behind the scenes tour.

When they do this (and I don't think that I'd want a young children's image to be spoiled by it) do they set up traffic cones or something? I mean it is an active parking/delivery area.
