I go to Disney in:

And I can't wait! Any suggestions on how to make the long time seem less painful?

At least you don't have as much time as me. 187 days.

I'll tell you what I've been doing and now I'm only 2 weeks away. I can't believe its almost finally here.

I have managed to make spreadsheets for our touring. Gone over our ADR's a hundred times. Made autograph books for our 2 DS's. Made shirts for them as well. Now I'm still making lists, packing, and of course, reading the boards over and over and over. :disrocks:

I'm down to 71 days. I plan on watching every Disney movie I can find (with my DGS4 (grandson? ) So that everything he sees, will have a little more meaning. :happytv: And I spend every possible moment, trying to find more info on WDW. (I'm now dreaming in DIS-speak!)
Every day, I check the mail, hoping for something from Florida :goodvibes .
I have my DGS checking off the days on the calender, too.
Oh, and I go out once a week, shopping for something related to our trip. Disney Store, dollar store wherever.
We are putting together a backpack of activities and Disney trinkets for DGS, too, for the flight, and any down time! popcorn::

The Disney picture of the day thread is great too, plus you find lots of cool things to look for while you're there.

I am with ya! Its hard to wait! I just keep thinking... more time more extra $ to bring... oh I want it to be here NOW !!!!!!!

I head down just a little bit before you.

We made a long paper chain and the kids take off one loop each night....we started at 100 and actually the last 30 days have gone by pretty quickly.

I'm trying hard not to wish the summer away...cause when we get back from WDW it is back to work!!

In the meantime - lots of DISing, joined TourGuideMike - lots to read there, watch Disney movies and the vacation planning DVD.

Plan, plan, plan!

We still have 215 days until our girly Mom and Daughter weekend trip, and 512 days until our family trip- heck, you're in the home stretch!! Just relax, start checking your packing list, and save those last minute dollars for suvenirs. It will be here sooner than you think!

Oh, and the most important thing- take it easy. You don't want to get sick or injured before the trip, so try to keep the stress to a minimum.

I want a paper chain! DD needs to make us one LOL

That's not a long time :rotfl: it'll fly by before you know it! :goodvibes

For our first trip together, BF and I booked more than 18 months out!
Also, although I have a ticker in my signature, we have yet to book our next trip (we hope to book by the end of the summer and are planning on going in Sep 2007).

Just relax and keep active here and with TGM (if you're subscribed).

Not long yet :hyper:

Hate to tell ya, but the waiting gets harder, lol! I'm only 6 days away and it's agonizing!!! I'm occupying myself by considering a side trip to St. Pete to see friends, cause all my Disney planning is LONG done.

Here is a couple of things we do:

Have disney movie night a couple of times a week.
Make Mickey pancakes or disney waffles (if you have one of the waffle irons) for dinner a couple of nights
Play a disney game. Scene it Disney is our favorite right now. I think we have every disney game they made.
You can play scrable with only using disney words or charades or pictionary.
Buy some disney snakes for after dinner (right now we are having the MM bars.
Stay on these boards and read absolutely everthing including looking at the pictures!
I went to Mouse for Less website and printed abunch of stuff for the kids to do on the trip down there, we are driving.

I hope you can use a few of these. I will keep watching this thread for new ideas :thumbsup2 .

I am heading upstairs to pack as soon as I finish my daily fix of the Dis. We leave in 11 days. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: for our Grand Gathering of 17.

dis boards...lots and lots of dis boards... :surfweb:

heh heh...but really my sister and I make a paper chain with a different Disny ride on each link. Each day we break it off and see the new disney ride which makes us really excited then we go on and on about that diseny ride. But really the dis boards is what keeps me sane from the long wait until disney time... :surfweb:

One day I was a shoe store at our local outlet mall, and a Mom and Son came in and told the clerk that they were out looking for comfy shoes for their upcoming trip to WDW. Now that I have my trip planned, I think maybe its my turn to go look for some Crocs for my trip...or other fun things to take. I also think that keeping in touch on these boards is the best thing to pass the time!

Don't wish your summer away!!! You live in Michigan!!

Like I told my friend & my kids(we are going in Nov) -- ENJOY the summer and don't wish it away!!! (We live in Mass and by the time our trip comes it will be almost winter!!! boo hoo!!)

August will be here before you know it!! In the meantime, visit the Disney store and buy books about Disney. A good one is Imagineering by the Imagineers (sorceror Mickey is on the front). I bought it on Amazon.com for $20---

Before you know it you'll be back and then you'll really be depressed!! Have a great trip!!

You nailed it for me. That is all that keeps popping in my mind, all of this planning and excitement. In a little over month it will all be over.

These boards have been the best way for me to handle the wait!
