What a nice way to end your TR! I hate good byes but can totally deal with "see ya real soon!" I'm so happy and excited for you and Wingnut and look forward to reading along as you plan your wedding!

I had originally REALLY wanted an adorable little porcupine guy, but I couldn't imagine how he would get home unscathed, so we got the crab. Then, as the CM was packing him up, he REMOVED THE LEGS AND CLAW and it totally dawned on me that that's how the porcupine is transportable too.

Moral of the story: There's a good chance our crab will have a porcupine friend after our next trip.

I look at these things every trip. They are a bit expensive for my souvenir budget. I have seen a porcupine, and it definitely is cute.

While the report obviously stems from the trip, it really does turn into something so much more, especially when it spans a few months in its timeframe. You guys have been there with me through all of our headlines during the past few seasons: when I lost my job, got a new job, and most notably, when Wingnut, the love of my life, and I got engaged. I am so lucky to have this forum here on the Dis filled with absolutely wonderful people where we can laugh, cry, and (of course!) be absolutely obsessed over Disney together.

So true about DIStown.

So what’s next for us? That’s an easy answer: wedding planning!! And of COURSE there will be a TR for our October trip!

Great souvenirs!!! We have a couple of the animals from Mexico -- always the little ones, but they are so neat, we can't resist them.

Great wrap-up! I am happy to report that I did successfully transport home a porcupine. I don't think they removed all the "spikes" but they did pack it well enough in a box that there was no problem. I love those animals. I read somewhere they've moved their "station" inside the pavilion instead of that little lobby area.

Totally agree with you on Epcot resorts but it is nice to check others out.

And agree with you on the great community within the DIS. It's very special.

Your list of new restaurants that you tried included some of my favorites as well. As for your resort preference - I completely agree about the Epcot area resorts. I love to be able to walk to 2 parks.

Just wanted to stop in so you know I didn't give up on this thread...work got super-busy, and then trip planning got super-busy. No time even for a PTR of my own. I have been trying to keep up with your adventures. Your pictures and comments always bring a smile to my face (you even make the not-so-great parts seem good). So, some thoughts...

OMG!!!! You're engaged!!! Whoo-hoo!!!! So happy for you both. And you're having a Disney Wedding and Disney-moon!!!! So awesome! We'll be there in October, too, but towards the end of October...is there a chance we may bump into you at the parks?

Honestly, I don't know if I'm happier about your engagement, or that you finally got your Beaker hat DH and I now have the whole collection...Beaker, Animal, and Kermit. We haven't really gotten the chance to wear the new ones much, though, and I doubt October in Florida will be a good time

I'm sorry that this TR has to come to a close, but I'm very happy that the next one is right around the corner!

You guys did great with the souvenirs, and I'm surprised how many of the treats made it home for the photo. We always bring home rice crispy treats with the plan of eating them over the next few weeks, and they are always gone the next day!

Great finale to your report! While it's sad to say this report is finished, I can't wait to hear about everything in October! That's one of the best parts about WDW reports - they really help fill in the 'void' between Disney trips, as well as relive some incredible memories. I hope you have a magical wedding planning trip.
