For those who did the Family Magic Tour ~ what is the average age of the children? When I have read posts, it seems that it is young. Also do entire families go even with kids who are obviously too old - teens? Is it ok if they aren't as into doing the goofy things? Will they be embarassed with the tour? I thought I read that a couple with no kids went, so I am not sure about the ages. Don't want my dd to feel out of place. :cool1:

I would say prime age for the tour is probably 4-8 or 9, but the tour is certainly appropriate for those younger or older who are young at heart. Teens might enjoy watching younger siblings on the tour, but I don't think I would book it if all of my party were teens or older.

We haven't done the tour yet, but the kids are 5 & 8. But from what I understand all members of the family have to be in the "spirit" to enjoy the tour. It doesn't matter though, b/c me and mom are the 2 biggest kids!

Trust me, we have the Disney spirit. But it was catered to the little ones I thought. Which we didn't mind, that's how it should be. We just had fun watching the younger ones go nuts over pixie dust!! Glad we did it, but once was enough. Our kids were 11 & 13. I would say 5-9 would be good.

Can anyone tell me how the younger kids in your groups did...say ages 3-4? Did they walk the entire way or use a stroller? I'd like to do this with my DD on our next trip, but was wondering if a 3 1/2 year old could keep up or if I should wait until she's older.

We went with our 4 year-old daughter. She was whining about wanting a stroller at the start, particularly since she'd been in a stroller for most of the touring in the parks the previous 6 days at WDW and another child on the tour was in a stroller. However, as we got into the "adventure" she quickly got over it. Nobody would stop you from using a stroller but you do stuff like follow the leader, so being in a stroller could take away from the experience for the child. You go the park at a pretty slow pace.

The group is so small...our whole group was about 15 which I think is close to full capacity. Given that up to half the group is often adults, I think that the average age of the kids can wildly vary depending on the group. In our group, there were 6 kids in the 4 to 7 range and one that looked about 12.
