My DD and her friend will be about a month shy of 16 on our trip in Sept/Oct. I have noticed several things that they cannot do unless they are already 16, like Segway tours and Water Mice.

How strict are they at WDW about the whole 16 thing?

Thank you very much! :sunny:

Most of those rules are in place for insurance reasons, so Disney is very diligent about checking. If you don't have proof of age, you aren't allowed to do the activity, period.

my niece did the Segway tour with us. She had to show her driver's license.

I don't know the age for water mice, but a friend's son drove one in March and he is 13.

As I recall, to drive the little "speedboats" (they are not "water mice" anymore, but a different kind of boat) the minimum age is 12 or 13.

Now, most youths under 16 do not HAVE any form of ID, so its up to the parent's honesty to vouch for their age.
