I've never been there but would like to try it on our vacation this summer. I'm confused on how the main courses work. Does everyone order the same main course tea and it's served family style?

You can order as much or as little as you want. For instance, last time I went we (party of 3 ladies) ordered:

Buckingham Palace - Our traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complemented by fresh strawberries and cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, along with your choice of tea. $19.50 (we ordered just 1 of these, and it gave 1 person their tea - we shared the foods)

English Blue Stilton Cheese - served with walnuts and marinated berries $6.95 (just one order, we shared)

2 more teas ala carte

Pastries $2.75 each - we ordered 3, one for each of us. They bring a tray of them so you can drool over them and decide. We couldn't pass them up!

You can order just one of the big "combo" things if you want to share, and then buy ala carte items, or just tea and some pastries. Completely up to you.

Thanks Aimeedyan, that's the info I was looking for. :thumbsup2 I saw that you had a picture of the cheese plate on another thread, do you happen have any more pictures?

I actually do!

I was looking for a tea to take my daughter to. I found the My Disney Princess Tea Party but it was way too much $$$$. Tell me more about this. is this something that is for all ages? How do I get reservations for this?

This is afternoon tea at the Garden View Lounge (at the GF). Here is the menu and hours: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_gft.htm

I have seen all ages there, one visit even had a group of girls celebrating a birthday party.

Just call the dining line to make a reservation

I just read the menu. I want to go! Now I have to convince my DH to go with me.

Do you need ADR for the Tea Room or is it walk up? It sounds wonderful and the menu looks delicious!! Good thing my DH really like his tea!

You need to make an ADR! This is very popular with the locals, especially on the weekends and near holidays. The Red Hat Society has taken notice for sure. If you have any desire to do this, you have to make the effort to go. It was so much fun that we are doing it again in December.

Thanks Aimeedyan for the additional photos! I definately want to do this. :thumbsup2
