This was asked before but there didn't seem to be a definitive answer. Everyone seems to think that the monorail / boats do not run at the end of after hours events. But what about people who drive? There has to be a way to get back to the TTC? I'm just wondering if anyone knows if it's the monorail or ferry, or if there is actually a bus that has to be taken to the TTC.

There is a bus that leaves from Magic Kingdom and makes the stops that the monorail would. Contemporary, TTC, Poly and Grand. Then back to Magic. The marquee on the bus will say Monorail. I believe it uses load zone 9.

I would expect Disney evaluates the situation pretty closely. They have a good idea about what onsite hotels people are staying at and know the volume of vehicles in the park.

They also have alot of experience in traffic patterns, which can vary by day (weekday vs weekend), and want to provide efficient ise of resources. The ferry is very efficient in moving people to the TTC, for example, but not helpful in moving people to the GF.

What pace people are exiting the MK also makes a difference.

Thanks everyone! I guess it is a bus, then. If that's the case, we might as well not drive and take the boat from FW and bus direct to our resort.
The FW bus leaves from load zone 10 at Magic. Practically the closest load zone to the park.
