If we are too full after a meal can we take our dessert to go on the DDP? I understand not being able to do it at a buffet but at a TS? I would hate forcing myself to eat something I wasn't hungry for when I can enjoy it later. Thanks~
At whispering canyon the server offered to do our desserts to go - she guessed we were far too full. Got the cheesecake and a nice fruit platter - boxed and bagged.
We've done this a few times, once at the Whispering Canyon, and we did not have a problem at all. Of course, you might want to consider what you would do with it if you are going directly to a park after you eat. (Unless you do not mind carrying it around with you)
We have also chosen to simply pass on dessert even though it was part of the plan, but that is just us.
Well considering the good tips they must get from a good portion of the customers, i think they definintely should have no problem wrapping up dessert. Im glad to hear WC will do that.
We did it at Cali Grill but my DH was sick (not from there) and they did it no question, she even suggested stuff that was better to carry out then not. I'm not sure if its the norm, but it worked there. I'm sure you can take back leftovers, so worst case, just order it and ask for a box to go.
Absolutely, Yachtsmen, Lecellier, Whispering Canyon we have asked for desserts to go in all of these places, never had a problem. As long as it not anything that would melt go for it you're paying for it.
Not sure about every restaurant, but we got our dessert to go a few times for different reasons, stuffed, or the little ones were ready to go! We did to go at Whispering Canyon, San Angel Inn, and a few others that I can't remember... We never had a problem, everyone was always very polite about it
Restaurants at Hotels will give you the desert to go no problem, the ones at the parks will hesitate because there is a health issue with you carrying around a park all day (spoilage) then eating it.
The only place I have asked dessert to go is WWC and had no problem, I would ask again from there or other places as long as it isnt ice cream, I pay for it so I want it.

we have never had a problem at non buffet places
the kids normally eat the desserts for breakfast in the room (were on holidays)
we get them at the counter service too
oh and ask for no whipped cream
it doesn't stay well
Our server at Le Cellier offered to pack up some dessert for us last fall. Of course, I was also practically falling asleep at the table. The year before our server at Boatwright's packed up our desserts as well. I guess it depends on the place and time.
We got our desserts to go at many places during our trip and never had a problem. In fact, most of our servers suggested picking something to go when we said we were going to pass on dessert. DH loved it because after the kids and I passed out in the room, he'd walk down to fill up his cup and then come back and enjoy the day's desserts.
DD and I had our desserts boxed for us, without a problem, at Le Cellier and 50's Prime Time. The waiter at Le Cellier was even kind enough to give suggestions on what would travel well.
