Last spring on the Wonder, we spent a couple of times in the Rainforest room. There was a LOT of noise from above (sports deck maybe) which was very un-spa like. Has anyone used the Rainforest room since Wonder returned from drydock? Is there any noticeable improvement? What did you think in general?

Thanks

If you do a search for "rainforest room wonder" there are several threads already on this topic with some replies! Hope that helps :)

I used it in April. IT was my 1st time, so I can't compare. I did not notice noise. I read and relaxed on the loungers and I don't remember being disturbed by noise

Yup, I know I've replied to this question previously, so there are definitely lengthier threads about this. I don't really remember others' answers, unfortunately, though!

We used it while in port (Nassau) and noticed zero noise. If that was b/c the issue was addressed, or the ship was close to empty - I don't know. Less populated than a sea day, I'm sure, but lots of people stay on board in Nassau, too.

Okay, this is a stupid question probably about the rainforest room but I didn't see anyone else ask this or address it in the other posts. Do you wear your swim suit into the aromatherapy showers? Do you go in naked? I've never been to a spa lmao

Not stupid if you haven't been! :)

Yes, you have to wear swimsuits. It's not single sex in Rainforest, only in the gender-specific locker rooms available to all spa/fitness guests. The aromatherapy showers don't have doors or curtains at all, so anyone in the central area of the room would see you, but yeah - you have to have a swimsuit on the entire time you're in Rainforest.

Now the gender-specific locker room saunas... you do what you want. I was in that alone (and wore a swimsuit b/c i already had it on). DH said a man was in the men's locker room sauna naked "and very proud about it", all spread out. HAHAHA!! I would be a little surprised if that happens as much in the women's sauna.

For actual treatments (massages, etc.) - general spa rules are that you'll get naked or nearly naked under a robe they give you, that you'll remove when you get under a blanket as the therapist discreetly leaves the room for a couple min. For a facial, some places give you a shorter thing to wear and you often just undress from the waist up. Rainforest is sort of atypical b/c it's mixed gender in there, whereas massages, etc will be in a room with just you and the therapist.

I am actually a massage therapist so I know that kind of ettiquette, just never been to a spa with showers etc. I kinda figured you wore your bathing suit but then I wondered if it was like a shower you were supposed to actually bathe in lmao!

OH, I'm sorry, I thought you meant you'd never been to any spa, literally! I hope I didn't offend you, definitely wasn't my intention!

No no, not like a real bathing kind of shower at all. No soap there or anything, just water shooting at you. :) They do have nice actual bathing showers in the locker rooms though.

No offense taken! I should have been more clear in my original question. I think my fiancé and I might get a couple day passes to the rainforest room just to check it out when we go on our cruise :)

Just be aware as @cmph said, nothing in the Rainforest Room is "private". Others will be in, out, and around. :)

(Just needed to add that in because one time in the Rainforest Room on the Fantasy, there was a couple who definitely didn't get that it wasn't their private villa. They have those...but it's NOT the Rainforest Room.)

seriously?? Oh my, ewwww... DH thought the one "look at meeee!!" spread eagle naked dude in the men's locker room was bad enough.

They didn't get that the hot tubs were not private (you would think there being 2 of them would have tipped them off) but in plain sight of the other section.

OMG! We're they doing the nasty?

It definitely seemed like it. I didn't investigate further. The poor spa worker was trying to alert them that it was not private. I opted to go into one of the steam rooms for a little while.

You should have gone over and ask them if you could join them. Just kidding!! That's why I don't like to use public hot tubs, you never know what others have been up to in them. Ick!!!!:crazy2:

I heard a little noise (tumping) while I was in the chair... But it wasn't that bad.
