With only about 24 hours until the next shopping frenzy starts :) - which store or stores will have the best deals?

I got some bath and body sets (body wash & deodorant) for my boys, some Burt's Bees and a couple candle holders at Target (online) for 50% off.
I haven't done major after X-mas shopping in a long time but I remember going to Target and stocking up on all the household stuff like ziplocs, paper towels, hand soap, etc after Christmas. I'm not sure if it's worth running out anymore, it seem stores don't stock a ton of that stuff before Christmas so there isn't alot left after.
I may run to BJs to get some of their double sided wrapping paper.

My Target was so picked over on sunday I'm not sure it's worth going to. I know it's all based on your target and where you live though. I see pics and get jealous of how much people get after when it's 70 and 90% off. I had better luck when I lived in NC than the one's here by Seattle. They seem to order less or there's more people shopping at the stores here.

That doesn't have anything to do with my Targets. There are others closer to those locations and with traffic they aren't living near me and commuting to those places. There's just more people, fewer target's and they buy less stock. It wasn't just christmas stuff that was practically gone on sunday.

I went to Target and got 2 Disney Princess 12 days of socks for next year for my goddaughter and her sister at $7.50 (so half off), a couple LOL surprise stocking stuffer type things, I believe a puzzle and coloring set for $2.50 and $3 respectively, (I think one was half off and the other wasn't), 2 Lipsmackers tubes with 3 or 4 chapsticks in them for $2, 2 bath bombs at $1.50 each, 2 Lipsmackers 12 days of Kissmas advent calendars for $6 (so again half off) an Elf on the Shelf letters to Santa set for DS for next year for around $9, cookie gifting bags for $1 for a pack of 18,and new holiday dish towels for next year for $1.50. I also popped over to their one spot area and got a few gift bags that could really be for holiday or birthday for 50 cents each (normally a dollar and quite large) Just about everything is gifts for next year so we were able to really get ahead of the game at good prices.

I went to the Disney Store and got the Ooogie Boogie candy dish DH and I have been eying for $19 (normally $35) and DH got some Disney pancake molds for $5.99 *originally I think $14 or so). Plus we got our 10% Disney Visa discount.

I finally finished off at Dollar Tree and got 4 or 5 medium and large gift bags and 2 packs of basket bags with two bags in each pack for about $3 total. I think I'll make them my first stop next year because there were a few things there that were actually better deals than Target, like the cookie bags.

We've had a set of four stocking holders from Target for a few years and last year the penguin one broke. I went online to a couple of different sites to see if there was some sort of 'match' out there for the set, knowing that you can't buy these individually. The best match was on Target's site, a cute little woody truck bringing a tree home. I went to my closest Target this afternoon and they had one in stock! So I got it for 50% off, costing me $5! I also looked on Pottery Barn Kids for flannel Christmas pillowcases because the really cute ones I got for my kids years ago are wearing out! But not much was left in stock on those. Otherwise, we are just loading our gift cards into the appropriate accounts for spending later!

Macys, JCPenney and Target were picked over here at the end of the week of December 3 when I started by Christmas shopping.
I was looking for flannel pajamas for my wife and Macy's was sold out of anything smaller than size 2X.

One section of lights on my tree quit working. Looks like I might be looking for a new one.

I picked up an Eddie Bauer packable down jacket for my mom for $60. Quite a huge discount plus free shipping.

Took DS16 shopping at the Mall and he picked up a H&M sweater on sale for $7. Then proceeded to buy 2 pants at a dufferent store at regular price :(

One of my dd's and I went to Kohls, Bath & Body and target today. The selection was good at stores. Toys were really wiped out at Target but everything else was ok. I didnt buy any Christmas clearance at Target as I just don't need it this year but I bought some other stuff and let my kids spend GC's.

Kohl's was pretty wiped out for clothing clearance but tons of Christmas stuff...most 70% off already. Bath and body works was my fav. Lots of great scents 75% off plus coupons to add to that.

Most of our targets were pretty picked over by this past weekend. I did manage to snag some Hanukkah wrapping paper half off today at a store that actually had a ton of rolls (I’m guessing they found a box or two that weren’t out before).

My targets were pretty empty over the weekend. Picked up some k cups and cat treats yesterday at 30%. Then went home and bought a bunch of gift set type things for 50% off - same stuff (plus a LOT more) that was only 30% in store. Also got some Philosphy sets at Macys for 50%.

Now I'm seriously eyeing the $20 converse at Nike. Lol

I went to Menards and they were at 50% off. Years ago they used to do a count down to Christmas and be at 90% off by Christmas Day. I just inked up a bunch of Christmas bags, for some reason I use those for presents more than wrapping paper.

Last year I went to Target on the Sunday after Christmas and it was at 75-90% off. I got a ton of lights last year.
I also got about six rolls of Christmas cyran wrap. I will try this Sunday, but if it sold out, that is how it goes.

JCP has a 20 or 25% off extra coupon online. I need a new bed spread. I sure miss this store and hate ordering online from them.

I managed to find the exact roll of wrapping paper that DD24 asked me to pick up for her. Otherwise, our Target was pretty picked over for paper. Candy is 50% off and we bought a bag for DD18's party.

It's raining here today so I'm thinking about trying to do my returns. Maybe everyone else will stay home. I'd like to go to BBW for some shower gel too.

We need new outdoor lights, a tree topper, and stocking holders but I'm trying to wait until after we move over the summer. It's hard because I usually get some good clearance deals but don't want more to pack.

Anyone like Hallmark? They seem to be a dying breed. I got a beautiful serving plate and a lighted snowman yesterday, but the items I went in for were long gone.

I agree, and it makes me sad. I really like Hallmark, but a lot of the time their prices are just really high on wrapping type items and cards, which is what I usually look for after Christmas. I do think their stuff is really good quality, and I adore their decorative and house ware type things. There's just only so much quality I really need out of a card or gift bag that'll likely be thrown away, so I usually go to Dollar Tree for those type things. Last year I sent DH to grab something at the mall and he stumbled upon a Hallmark store closing. They had Christmas paper 90% off and he got several really nice rolls. It was a heck of a deal. The year before in Feb or March I happened into one that still had some Christmas clearance. I got some really nice Disney ornaments (not the ones in boxes, more the ones that have Emoji style faces) for like a buck each. Perfect to add into gifts for the little kids on my list.

Since I don't really need anything this year, I think my strategy for them is going to be to stroll in around the new year and see. It'll likely all be gone or pretty picked over, but I can afford to wait this year so that's fine. If I score something on a really great deal, all the better.
