Way overpaying. Way, way overpaying, regardless of contract size.

I disagree with those saying prices are just going up. The government is spending an insane amount of money and is about to raise taxes on everyone. I think there will be a pullback on dvc purchases very soon.

Government spending a lot of money also results in inflation which drives prices up. There is a reason the stock market has continued to go up through all of the stimulus packages.

Agree in general, but I would argue in the case of dvc it will cause prices to fall or not appreciate as quickly as it should because people will have less disposable income. Dvc is not milk and not something people have to buy. I think the recent rise in dvc prices is due to people not spending (or not spending as much) on vacation for a year and having a little extra money as a result. That extra money will dry up very quickly once they raise taxes. Janet Yellen said a day or two ago that they are looking at raising taxes by 1/3. Very serious tax increase. It is an interesting discussion.

If our taxes go up by a third, not only will we not buy any more DVC, we would likely sell the contract we have and visit Disney much less frequently. That would be a massive tax increase!

I feel you need to give all the information about what Yellen said and not just cherry pick and leave out significant parts.
Yellen was talking about corporate tax rates and raising from 21 to 28% to help pay for infrastructure ,etc.
As far as personal taxes, Yellen and Biden have said no one under $400,000 per year will see tax increase.

Be patient and buy where you want to be. I think resale is all about timing. Most companies have a tool or app that you plug in the location that you’re looking for, minimum points/maximum points, and use year. Set it up and check it often. You’ll find the right contract.
