For the first time we will be bringing a twin-sized aerobed on our upcoming August vacation in a one-bedroom at BWV. Having a 16yoDS and 12yoDD, sharing the foldout couch is not an option and we just don't have the points this year for a two-bedroom this year.

I was hoping that someone could tell me where the best location is that the aerobed should be placed.

That is, where in the BWV living room will there be enough room on the floor once the foldout couch has been opened?

I know there is the option of keeping the couch closed and having one child sleep there to make room for the aerobed on the floor, but given the size of my kids, I don't think either one would want to sleep on the couch like that for all ten nights. Mornings would not be a pretty sight. lol

And call me selfish, but if at all possible my DH and I would rather not share our master bedroom with one of our children sleeping on our floor. So keeping them *both* in the living room would be wonderful!

Thanks for any help you can offer!!

I would say either in the kithcen, on the floor in front of the door, or on the floor between the opened couch and the slider.

Just be careful you don't step on him.;)

Don't worry - you'll find several places that will work.

IMHO, the best place might be the entry way. That way, the path to the bathroom will be clear.

There would also be room between the kitchen "bar" and the pull out. You could also fit it in the kitchen area.

Once you arrive, you'll quickly figure out what will work best for you.

Best wishes -

When we've done it, we found that the spot between the sofa sleeper and the sliding doors to the balcony was the best place. This works especially well if there is access to the balcony from the master bedroom.

You'll find a few options there and will have no problem figuring out which one works best for you. Enjoy your trip!

Would it fit in the walk in closet in the master bathroom area... they she could have a separate sleeping area....

Excellent idea, there is plenty of room in the MB closet, it is very large.
If you don't want that, my suggestion would be the entry way.

last time, 15yo DS lined up the chair cushions from the balcony sliders toward the TV unit (he really dislikes the fold-out).
this august, we're bringing a twin aerobed (incredibly comfy, btw :D ), & will prob use the same area. (tho in the foyer sounds pretty good....)

We did this at WLV, I think the room setup is the same. A twin aero bed fits perfectly between the TV and the sliding glass doors (we move the armchair to a TV viewing position). It's also very unobtrusive in this location and can almost be used as a sitting or play area for children during the day.

It doesn't work, though I thought it would have that was our plan.

We went long ways from the couch toward the bathroom.

Can you expand on why it doesn't work? Width, length, privacy?

Another option would be to remove the mattress from the fold out and then you can fit both "mattresses" on the floor in a more modular fashion. We've only stayed there once with another couple and they were more comfortable with the mattress on the floor than on the folding bed frame. Just a thought.
