The article states "finishing touches" but I still see a bunch of landmovers moving dirt around (unless those are all back stage areas) - definitely feels like they are pushing it given all the new technology involved - unless they are just going to use the first month of operation as their preview/testing period
Yep. I think there will be a few areas of this park that won't be open for opening day.The article states "finishing touches" but I still see a bunch of landmovers moving dirt around (unless those are all back stage areas) - definitely feels like they are pushing it given all the new technology involved - unless they are just going to use the first month of operation as their preview/testing period
I agree, there's too much moss for an "active" volcano. We drove by last week-- and also from the pictures, the volcano looks more like an old tree stump in a swamp.....
Also the back side of the volcano where all the slides are is completely open so it's a hallow volcano if anything.I agree, there's too much moss for an "active" volcano.
They are good size expansions, but remember that the angle of these pictures distorts the size. Here is the size of the lands on an straight down aerial view..

Yes it is in the wrong spot. The Great Movie Ride indicator is in the wrong spot here. Or am I just losing it?
I wish they were bigger so that I could see more detail.

There are some cabanas still being built. Most of the unfinished area appear to be backstage.
I find that a bit disappointing even though I'm not going to Volcano bay lol. I think it's because it's different than Schlitterbahn where they build when they have the $ so you know going in it's not a complete park at first and won't be one for a while (the KC one opened in 2009 and isn't complete). But that's not how people think about in regards to Universal. They expect (well I would think majority would) a complete fully functioning park on opening day.Yep. A lot of people r going to be disappointed and upset if Volcano Bay opens and many rides r closed. I know I would.
