Need some advise...

I'm taking my brother & our two close friends to WDW.:woohoo: This will be their first time at WDW. Usually, whenever we go, it's Nov or Jan. If you had a choice of April, May or June which would be your first choice. Preferably, a week that's not too hot or crowded- I usually only go in value season.

Also, which resort? We're open to anyone but AKV because we'll be staying there in Nov with my family. I was thinking BWV, but I'm partial- that's my favorite! :cloud9:

Anyway. I'll take whatever advise I can get. Whenever I take someone to WDW they've usually been there before. I'm so afraid of just passing buy the things that are really wowing to people who've never been.

Thanks!

Mid April until late May(just prior to Memorial Day weekend). After that, no way! I was there this past May 24-31 and it was crowded. June will be hot and run the risk of the dreaded hurricane.

BWV or BCV would be my choice.

Our May trip was fantastic 2 weeks before the holiday. It was fantastic weather was perfect low 80s everyday and crown levels were great. the most we waited for any ride was 20 min. Most of them were just walk ons.

I would vote for May too. In April, a lot of people go for Easter and many states have an April vacation week. In June, it is hotter and Florida residents are out of school in June making the parks more crowded.

Easter 2008 is March 23. So, you sholud be fine as far as that goes. But, MagikMom makes a good point about spring break.

First part of May would be my choice. Just got back from 2 weeks at WDW. First week of June was crowded, but the second was MUCH worse due to schools now out. Stand by lines during evening Magic Hours were 90 minutes on the popular rides! CM's even commented on how that first week was more crowded than usual for the first of June.

Another vote for May. I am also partial to the BWV. I have never stayed at the BCV but I would imagine that would be just as nice.

We were there the first weekend in May. Perfect weather, short lines at the parks.

Wow, This seems to be a great vote for May. We were there the 2nd week in May & the weather wes perfect & the lines were not too bad. I will be doing May again for sure. School may be a problem for your brother however, so make sure he can get off (if he is still in school).

Another consideration is that the rates are lower in May than April.

Another vote for May:

Generally lower crowds than April or June
Generally better weather than June
Lower point schedules
Flower and Garden at EPCOT

Hmmm may is our favorite to. I wonder if we all like May so much why it does not seem crowded.

School is still in session virtually everywhere so people wait until summer. Trust me, as a teacher I would MUCH rather go in May than June but my schedule completely controls my choices. Here's to retirement!!

He will be in his last year for his masters degree but he's chosen to go back home & finish his last year through his school on the Internet, so he'll just bring his laptop & work at the hotel.

Can you imagine? WDW while working on your Masters Degree. I don't know how he does it!

I agree with May but ( the first 2 wks) If you like 60's and 70's music here are the times for this past years flower power concerts at Epcot.
Every year the dates change for the groups.

Hit Bands of 1960s and '70s Rock Epcot During 2007 Flower Power Concerts

17 Musical Acts Bring Cool Vibes to Epcot April 5-June 3

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Retro-hit makers like Petula Clark, Jose Feliciano, Peter & Gordon and The Box Tops rev up the Flower Power concert series April 5-June 3 at the 14th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival in Walt Disney World Resort.

The spring shower of hit songs from the 1960s and '70s begins with opening-weekend performances by Paul Revere and the Raiders, known for a slew of singles like "Good Thing" and "Birds of a Feather." Other oldie chart-toppers featured by some of the festival's 17 musical acts include "Happy Together," "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" and "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter." B.J. Thomas, Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone, The Guess Who and The Turtles featuring Flo and Eddie are among returning acts to appear during the 60-day Flower Power concert series. Davy Jones will perform again this year during the popular Mother's Day Weekend.

Flower Power concerts strike a lively, nostalgic chord daily at America Gardens Theatre at 5:45, 7 and 8:15 p.m. and are included with regular Epcot admission. Here's the lineup*:

Thanks so much guys!

I've decided that we'll be going May 3 - 10 and hopefully staying at BWV. It is not my home resort, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. (I knew I should have bought into BWV! :sad2: )

Anyone know if this will be an impossible task, like getting a room @ BWV is in Nov??

You shouldn't have any issue with booking a room if you are not looking for either Std or BWV rooms.:goodvibes

I'm looking to get 2 BW view studios. :sad2:

I figure why get a 2 bedroom for a lot more points just so we have a living room & a kitchen we won't use. 2 studios is a lot less points.

Will I ever get a BW view room?! :sad1:

My DVC guide discouraged me from buying into BW because he said I would have "no problem" getting a room. Now look.
