Advice Please For New Years Fancy Dress

Hi I have been invited to a new years fancy dress party and Im hopeless at knowing what to go as, I want something that im not going to be too hot in, and fairly comfortable.

There is no theme as such, but it would be nice to go as something with a Christmas Theme, apart from Father Christmas, do you have any ideas for me please.

I would go as a Cow girl Just because if there is ever a hen night/fancy dress thingy it is always my suggestion, but no one ever wants to be cow girls
